Essay on Water Pollution, Reasons, Effects and Prevention

Essay on Water Pollution - Water is life, but when this water becomes poisonous then life can be in danger. We are talking about water pollution. Water pollution has now become such a huge problem that if it is not taken care of now and efforts are not made to prevent it, then the life of humans, animals, and vegetation living on the earth can be in deep crisis.

Introduction:

Water is an integral part of the environment. Water is a vital source of our life, that's why water is claimed to be life. Life cannot be imagined on earth without water. Water is one of the basic needs of human life.

The scientific and technological progress of the last 200 years has made human life terribly convenient. The commercial Revolution has made the lives of many people happy, because of the discovery of recent medicines, the age of man is getting longer and mortality is decreasing.

Thus we come to know that this machine age has given us a lot. But if we look at the environment around us, we realize that this progress is poisoning our lives. One form of this poison is also contamination spread all around.

The life of the place where water gets polluted also gets in trouble. The river Ganges was considered very sacred and anyone who took a bath in it was considered holy but the same Ganges river has become contaminated today due to the waste coming out of factories. But the Indian government has enacted laws for the cleanliness of the Ganges.

Causes of Water Pollution:

Our industries are the most serious cause of water pollution. The chemical waste that comes out of our industries, factories, and factories is dropped directly into rivers and ponds. The waste that is released into rivers and ponds is very toxic and it also makes the water of rivers and ponds poisonous.

Due to contamination of the water of rivers and ponds, animals and animals living in it die and if any animal or human drinks that water then the animal dies and man becomes the victim of many diseases. Apart from the industries, there are many other reasons which cause water pollution.

Different types of wastes that come out of our cities and villages are dumped in rivers and ponds. Today, people also use chemical fertilizers and medicines in agriculture, due to which the sources of water are greatly affected. When the contaminated water of rivers gets into the sea, the seawater also gets polluted.

As the plastic pile increases, it is thrown into the sea. Sometimes, when an accident occurs, the fuel of the vessels gets spread in the sea, which causes more water pollution. This oil spreads all around in the sea and forms a layer over the water. Due to this many creatures living in the sea die.

When people bathe in ponds and put body dirt and excrement in it, the water of the pond gets polluted. once dirty water from rivers and drains gets mixed in water, the water gets contaminated. when water is collected at one place and waste is also contaminated by reaching to garbage.

People wash clothes and utensils close to the stream or ponds rather than washing them at home, because of that soap, pot dirt, snake water all get mixed in the stream and pond water, due to which the water gets contaminated. And this is what causes destruction.

Some people tie leftover or spoiled food in a garbage bag and drain it into the water, thereby contaminating it by intermixture it in the pond or river water. people that live close to the river or reservoir, they shed someone in the water instead of burning it, and also the decomposition of the corpse will increase the number of harmful germs in the water and the pollution is very high. Is increased.

Gas and dust are present in the air and they all get mixed with rainwater and water pollution increases wherever it accumulates. When an atom is tested in water, some nuclear particles are found in it, which contaminates the water.

Effects of Water Pollution:

Water pollution has become a very serious problem in the modern era. Earlier people who lived by drinking the water of rivers and ponds, in today's time people become victims of many diseases by drinking that water. Even crores of people are facing the problem of drinking water.

By consuming contaminated water, a person should face issues related to cholera, dysentery, decay, and stomach. Not solely the contaminated water within the human but also laceworms and spherulites additionally reach, due to that the human being suffers disease. once nuclear tests are done in the oceans, at that point some nuclear particles are found within the ocean, due to which the balance of ocean creatures and flora, furthermore as the environment of the ocean, is deteriorated.

When the residual material, hot water is received from factories in the water, the environment is also heated along with water pollution, due to which the number of fauna and flora starts to decrease and the aquatic atmosphere is also imbalanced. If there is water pollution in this way, then the need for clean water will not be met.

Solution of Water Pollution:

Our government should take immediate steps to prevent water pollution. Litter-waste and plastics are not to be thrown into the sea and they have to be recycled and used to generate energy. Factories that cause a lot of pollution will have to issue closure orders. From time to time, red medicines need to be sprayed in the red wells. Water that has become dirty will have to be made potable with the help of filters. Garbage and waste have to be compelled to be prevented from spreading wherever there's water.

Water Pollution prevention:

The government should ban factories and industries for dumping waste into rivers. The waste that comes out of the city should also not be allowed to be dumped in water without properly cleaning it. Organic agriculture should be encouraged more than the use of chemical fertilizers in agriculture.

Washing clothes on the watercourse or ponds should be prohibited by people. The washermen wash their clothes and utensils within the ponds, they must warn regarding the increasing water pollution. So that the water of the ponds can be protected and made potable and the animals and animals living in it can also be safe.

The animals should be prevented from bathing in the ponds because the water of the pond is stagnant and due to the bathing of animals, that water gradually becomes dirty and then is not useful in any way.

Use the least chemicals in the water that comes out of the homes so that they cannot contaminate the land. Cities, towns and villages must clean the ponds and rivers at least once a year and remove the waste surrounding the ponds.

There should be a system of removal of residual materials from factories. Along with the execution of these substances, arrangements should be made for the lossless. The nuclear tests at sea should be stopped.

Conclusion:

Water pollution has taken the shape of an emergency in today's modern era. In such a state of affairs, we've got to take the necessary steps immediately. If we want to keep the sources of water safe in future and provides clean water to the people of our country for drinking, then from this time we have to take important steps to overcome this problem. If we delay this matter then it'll prove more fatal.

Water Pollution

Essay on Water Pollution (250 Words)

The main source of life on earth is water. Any animal can spend some days without food, but it's difficult to imagine a life without water and oxygen even for a moment. The demand for a lot of water for purposes like drinking, washing, industrial use, agriculture, swimming pools, and other water sports centers is increasing because of the ever-increasing population.

Water pollution is being done by people all over the world because of the increasing demand and competition for luxury living. The waste produced by many human activities spoils the whole water and reduces the number of oxygen in the water. Such pollutants reduce the physical, chemical, thermal and biochemical characteristics of water and severely affect the life of water outside as well as underwater.

When we drink polluted water, hazardous chemicals, and other pollutants enter the body and spoil the functions of all body parts and endanger our lives. Such hazardous chemicals also badly affect the lives of animals and plants. When plants take in the dirty water through their roots, they stop growing and die or dry up. Thousands of seabirds die due to oil spilling from ships and industries.

High levels of water pollution is caused by chemicals initiating agricultural uses of fertilizers, pesticides. The impact of water pollution varies by place depending on the number and type of water pollutant. A preventative method is urgently needed to prevent the degradation of drinking water, which is possible through the understanding and support of every last person living on earth.

Solution of Water Pollution

Essay on Water Pollution (400 Words)

Water pollution is a major environmental and social issue for the whole world. It has reached its zenith. According to the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur, it has been noted that 70% of the river water has been polluted on a large scale. India's main river systems like the Ganges, Brahmaputra, Indus, Peninsular and South Coast river systems have been affected extensively. The main river in India, especially the Ganges, is highly associated with Indian culture and heritage. People usually take a bath in the early morning and offer Ganga water to the deities in any fast or celebration. In the myth of performing his puja, he puts all the material related to the puja method in the Ganges.

Water pollution increases by decreasing the self recycling capacity of the water from the waste dumped in the rivers, so to keep the water of the rivers clean and fresh, it should be banned by governments in all countries, especially in India. Despite the high degree of industrialization, water pollution situation in India is worse than in other countries. According to the report of the Central Pollution Control Board, Ganga is the most polluted river in India, which was earlier famous for its self-purifying capacity and fast-flowing river. About forty-five leather making factories and ten textile mills unleash their garbage (heavy organic waste and rotten goods) directly into the river close to Kanpur. According to an estimate, approximately 1,400 million liters of sewage and 200 million liters of industrial wastes are being released continuously in the Ganges River every day.

Other main industries that are causing water pollution are sugar mills, furnaces, glycerin, tin, paint, soap, spinning, rayon, silk, cotton, etc. which extract toxic waste. In 1984, a Central Ganga Authority was established by the government to initiate the Ganga Action Plan to curb the water pollution of the Ganges. According to this plan, 120 factories, which were spreading pollution in 27 cities on a large scale from Haridwar to Hooghly, were identified. Nearly 19.84 million gallons of garbage from factories in the pulp, paper, furnace, sugar, spinning, textiles, cement, heavy chemicals, paints, and varnishes, etc. fall in the Gomti River near Lucknow. This situation has become even more frightening in the last 4 decades. To avoid water pollution, all industries should follow standard rules, the Pollution Control Board should enact strict laws, manage proper sewage disposal facilities, set up sewage and water treatment plants, construct accessible toilets, etc.
